Benefits of Replacement Therapy

El Replacement Therapy It is based on the compensation of hormonal levels when the body has stopped producing them naturally. That is, when a man is affected by hypogonadism or hormonal deficiency, replacement therapy (or TRT) will be responsible for replacing the missing production so that the levels are balanced.

What is testosterone?

La testosterone It is a hormone produced by the Leydig cells, with numerous functions and is responsible for normal growth, the development of male sexual organs, among others.

From a certain age, the man's body stops producing testosterone, pushing him towards a series of symptoms that are colloquially united under the name of «andropause«.

Contrary to the widespread belief that "it's just a matter of age", there is another much more realistic and appealing reality: both andropause and hypogonadism (low testosterone levels) have a solution.

Benefits of replacement therapy

First of all, it is important to clarify that Hormone replacement therapies do not have serious side effects. Furthermore, despite the hearsay, this Replacement therapy does not increase the risk of prostate cancer, as has been proven in multiple studies.

In the words of Stacy Loeb (director of the research presented within the framework of the 2016 American Urological Association Annual Meeting) "When used appropriately in otherwise healthy men with age-related decline in testosterone, lReplacement therapy has been shown to improve both sexual function and mood.».

I have just turned 53, I have undergone an almost complete thyroendoctomy in two phases since preadolescence and have been under medical supervision for decades.
Although my testosterone levels are normal as shown by annual blood hormone tests, I would like to know if TRT could give me the energy and vitality of my 20s, which was a lot!, and if this would be appropriate and healthy for my age.
